The symposium: Findings from an exploration of the Preparing For Life data as part of a research study funded under the Children’s Research Network Prevention and Early Intervention Research Initiative organised by CRN member Dr Grainne Kent and colleagues will be held as part of a larger conference in the National College of Ireland on Wednesday the 13thof June from 10.30-12 p.m. You may attend the symposium free of charge.

In September 2017, a team of researchers in the National College of Ireland were awarded a research grant from the Children’s Research Network to allow for further exposition of research data that was generated by The Atlantic Philanthropies’ Prevention and Early Intervention Initiative (PEII).

The research team, made up of Dr Gráinne Kent, Vasiliki Pitsia and Gary Colton, embarked on a project using data collected as part of the Preparing for Life evaluation, exploring the early demographic and environmental factors which may predict cognitive development at four years of age and school readiness at five years of age. The current symposium will provide an overview of the main findings of the analysis.
