The Children’s Research Network conducted a survey to identify the particular support needs of practitioners who engage with research on a regular basis, in particular practitioners who conduct research themselves. The aim of the survey is for the Network to develop a suite of resources and supports better adapted to the needs of practitioner researchers and practitioners who engage with research directly on a regular basis.

The survey was distributed in early March 2017 through the Children’s Research Network’s membership. It was also distributed through social media to non-members working in the field of service provision for children, young people and families. The survey was possible to complete in 5-10 minutes and received a response rate of 88. It was open for three weeks in total.
